Carbon reporting for NHS suppliers. Stay on the roadmap.
The NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap requires a Carbon Reduction Plan for all contracts. By April 2027, you'll need global Scope 3 reporting. Climatise gets you there.

The challenge
What NHS suppliers are facing
Carbon Reduction Plans are now mandatory
Since April 2024, every NHS contract requires a compliant CRP at the point of bid. No CRP, no contract. Most suppliers are using consultants or templates that don't scale across multiple bids.
Scope 3 is coming fast
By April 2027, NHS suppliers must report global Scope 3 emissions. That means supply chain data, business travel, purchased goods — the categories most companies have never measured. Waiting until 2026 to start is too late.
No internal sustainability resource
Most NHS suppliers don't have a dedicated sustainability team. The burden falls on finance, procurement, or operations — people already stretched thin who don't have emissions accounting expertise.
Risk of losing contracts you already hold
This isn't just about winning new work. Existing contracts come up for renewal, and non-compliance means losing revenue you've already built a team around.
By April 2027, NHS suppliers will need to report global Scope 3 emissions — that's purchased goods, business travel, waste, and supply chain data most companies have never measured.

Common questions
NHS Suppliers carbon reporting FAQ
A CRP is a document that sets out your organisation's current carbon emissions, a net zero target, and the steps you're taking to reduce emissions. The NHS requires one for every contract above the threshold. Climatise generates compliant CRPs automatically from your emissions data.
By April 2027, the NHS will require global Scope 3 reporting from suppliers. This covers all 15 categories of indirect emissions including purchased goods, business travel, and waste. Starting measurement now gives you two years to build reliable data.
CRPs are currently required at the point of bid or renewal. If your contract is coming up for renewal, you'll need a compliant CRP. Even if not, having one ready protects you from sudden requirement changes.
PPN 06/21 applies to central government contracts too. A Climatise-generated CRP meets both NHS and PPN 006 requirements, so you're covered for all public sector bidding.
