Fleet decarbonisation starts with knowing what you emit.
The UK fleet sector faces tightening ZEV mandates, corporate Scope 1 obligations from company vehicles, and customer pressure for carbon-per-unit data.

The challenge
What automotive & fleet are facing
Mixed fleet complexity
Petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and full EV — each vehicle type needs different emission calculations. As your fleet transitions, the calculation methods change with it.
Fuel card data consolidation
Allstar, Shell, BP, Esso — large fleets often use multiple fuel card providers. Consolidating this data monthly, mapping it to vehicles, and identifying anomalies is a full-time job.
Customer supply chain questionnaires
If you operate vehicles for clients, they want carbon data per vehicle, per route, or per contract. Delivering this requires granular allocation that spreadsheets can't handle.
ZEV mandate and transition planning
The UK's Zero Emission Vehicle mandate is reshaping fleet composition. You need to track your current emissions to plan the transition, measure the impact, and report progress.
The UK's 2035 ICE vehicle sales ban is reshaping fleet procurement. Tracking current fleet emissions is the foundation for transition planning.
The solution
How Climatise helps
Automated fleet emissions
Import fuel card and mileage data. The platform calculates emissions per vehicle using DEFRA factors for each fuel type.
See this feature →Mixed fleet calculations
ICE, hybrid, and EV calculations in one system. Track how your fleet transition reduces emissions year-on-year.

Monitor your fleet composition over time. See the emissions impact of each EV replacement.
Customer-ready reporting
Carbon-per-vehicle, carbon-per-mile, or carbon-per-contract — whatever your customers need.

“Climatise became our sustainability control tower, especially as we aligned the entire business with our net-zero roadmap. It empowered shared ownership not just of our data, but of our entire sustainability strategy.”

Common questions
Automotive & Fleet carbon reporting FAQ
EVs have zero Scope 1 (tailpipe) emissions but Scope 2 emissions from the electricity used to charge them. Climatise calculates EV emissions from charging data or estimated kWh consumption, using the UK grid emission factor.
Yes. If your fuel card data includes vehicle registration or ID, Climatise maps emissions to individual vehicles. This is useful for identifying the highest-emitting vehicles and prioritising replacements.
The ZEV mandate doesn't directly require carbon reporting, but it's driving fleet composition changes that affect your Scope 1 emissions. Tracking the transition in Climatise lets you demonstrate progress and plan future procurement.
